Unidentified gunmen shot dead two civilians in northern Jawzjan while police seized 140kg of narcotics in western Herat, officials said on Wednesday.

In Jawzjan, administrative head of Faizabad district, Gauhar Khan Baburi, told Pajhwok Afghan News the civilians named Noor Malik and Mohammad Gul were riding on a motorcycle when unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire at them on a road close to the district center.
