SHIBERGHAN (PAN): Soon after returning to his stronghold, Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum spurned American concerns about a prospective role for him in present-day Afghanistan.

The Uzbek warlord, who returned from Turkey last night, told a mammoth crowd of around 15,000 supporters that no power on earth could scuttle plans of his party — Jumbish-i-Milli Islami.
