Buildings for three health clinics have been constructed in the Qarghayee district and Mehtarlam, capital of eastern Laghman province.
Funded by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the facilities cost $270,000. The clinics were inaugurated on Tuesday, an official said.
Gubernatorial spokesman Syed Ahmad Sapi told Pajhwok Afghan News each building -- having eight rooms and equipped with the necessary facilities -- took a year to complete.
