Original Report

Police officials Monday claimed seizing 280 kilograms of heroin from a vehicle in the volatile southern province of Zabul.

The deputy provincial police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News the narcotics were recovered from a car during a search near Qalat.

Col. Ghulam Jilani Farahi said the car was on its way from Kandahar to Kabul. It was stopped on the basis of intelligence reports and the narcotics were recovered from its cavities.
