A new building for a girls' school was inaugurated in the Salang district of central Parwan province, officials said on Sunday.
The education director told Pajhwok Afghan News the building, costing $310,000 was constructed with financial support from the American Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT).
Abdul Zahoor Hakim said the double storey-building, which took nine months to complete, had 24 classrooms, a libratory, a library, eight administrative rooms, an electricity generator and other facilities.
