Taliban insurgents have executed two residents on the charge of murder in the volatile central province of Maidan Wardak, an official said on Thursday.

A spokesman for the provincial governor, Shahidullah Shahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News the men were killed by the militants in the Sibka area of Chak district late Wednesday evening.

He said Ezzat had killed his brother, Qayyum, who recently returned from Iran. One Ezzat perpetrated the murder through his friend Matiullah a week back due to a family dispute.
