Suicide blast kills 15

Fifteen civilians were killed and 13 others wounded in a suicide attack in the Deh Rawood district of the volatile central province of Uruzgan, officials said on Thursday.

Crimes branch chief, Col. Gulab Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News the assault occurred this afternoon in the district centre, killing 15 civilians and injuring 13 others.

An official at the police headquarters said on condition of anonymity the explosion took place in the basement of a hotel, where the suicide bomber was kept by the hotel owner, Haji Mohammad Nasim.
